This Mustang is gorgeous, the pictures don't do it justice! Fresh engine and transmission that have less than 1,000 miles on the rebuild. Really though, this one is exceptional! It will turn heads and win trophies, but the real pleasure will be driving it. Equipped with features like a power convertible top, power steering, and disc brakes, this pony is a thoroughbred anyway you look at her!EXTERIOR: I know it looks like a piece of candy but please no licking! The Candy red paint has been slightly altered from stock with some tasteful metal flake. It was then polished to a glossy and slick finish. All the panels were painstakingly aligned, and the gaps look great. The doors close very easily. Looking down the side of the body it is 100% laser straight. The bumpers are fresh and shiny. The grill, bumpers, emblems, taillights were replaced. The windshield and weatherstrips were replaced too. looks like new. It has the factory badging. I prefer the top down, but it does have a virtually new black convertible top as well. It's an optional power top, push the lever and let the sunshine in! The wheels are a modern version of the original GT wheel, the are 17 inch and cut from billet aluminum. They are sitting on Goodyear tires that are size 225/45R17.
INTERIOR: Looking at the inside of the door jambs they are painted slick just like the body. The door panels have been replaced and fresh levers were installed. There is a new dash pad and the rest of the dash was painted body color. The gauge bezel and glove box door both have faux wood trim and look like new. All the knobs including the power convertible top lever have been replaced. Everything looks like new with freshly reupholstered seats that have new cushioning too. Additionally, the sun visors, rearview mirror, steering wheel, and carpeting were all replaced. It has a beautiful deluxe wheel. Seatbelts were added front and back so the family can enjoy your guilty pleasure too.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The 289 V8 engine was rebuilt less than 1000 miles ago. Everything is fresh and clean; it is dressed up in a chrome air cleaner and finned valve covers. It has some upgrades including a hotter cam, Edelbrock intake and carb, headers, and electronic ignition. A new Wilwood master cylinder was installed, and it also has a Borgosen power steering conversion. The radiator was upgraded with a very nice aluminum unit, polished overflow bottle and custom shroud. The battery is properly secured, and the horns are hooked up. All the hoses and wires were replaced. All the fender bolts and screws were also replaced. The engine bay is spotless metal with a high gloss candy red finish.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The underside of the trunk lid and jamb have been painted just like the body. New weather stripping was installed. The floor pan metal is solid and rust free. It also has a new rubberized plaid mat.
UNDERSIDE: The steering was completely rebuilt with a new pitman arm, bushings and more. It also has a sway bar with fresh links. The suspension was rebuilt with new ball joints etc. It's upgraded with Wilwood front disc brakes and fresh lines. The dual exhaust system a new crossover pipe, mufflers, resonators and nice turn down tips. All new fuel lines, tank and sending unit were installed. Looking up at the freshly rebuilt 289 engine everything looks neat and tidy. The starter, oil filter and fuel pump look new. The C4 automatic transmission was rebuilt 1,000 miles ago. The rebuilt driveshaft leads back to a clean 9" rear end. The floors, frame rails, torque boxes are solid and rust free with a thin undercoating and neatly applied black paint.
SERVICE: Our lead mechanic thoroughly inspected this car, and we adjusted the carburetor, replaced the belt, cleaned the pulleys, rewired the choke, repaired the turn signal wiring, replaced the battery, and adjusted the windows.
This one will turn heads anywhere it goes! Top quality fit and finish, check it out in detail. The 1966 Mustang convertible: were classic style means open road freedom!
