Its really an excellent road car. The restoration was completed in 2000, and the owner drove this car to and from work and around town for a total of 15,000 miles since the restoration. This car passes Illinois emission tests. Restoration Details Engine - 4.2 liter, DOHC 6 cylinder, cleaned, bored .010 over, new pistons, all new bearings, Seals, mounting rubber and gaskets, polished cam and crank, new timing chains and chain guides/damper, valve lifter guide retainers installed on intake and exhaust sides, 3 SU (XKE type) carburetors, GM alternator with internal regulator, Mallory electronic distributor, new fan clutch, & Mobil 1 oil since proper engine break-in. Transmission, drive shafts, and rear axle - model 12 automatic trans, cleaned and new seals installed. All new drive shaft U-joints, bearing and rubber mounts. All new rear axle U-joints & seals. New bearings where needed. New mounting rubber and hardware.
