The Stand Up General

Get ready to rev your engines and buckle up, because the Volo Museum has just welcomed a true legend in the world of cars: the Stand-Up General. This is no ordinary vehicle, my friends - this is a brainchild creation of the one and only Richard Sephton, a Mopar lover and racing aficionado who even worked on the iconic Dukes of Hazzard TV series.

But the Stand-Up General wasn't just any old car - it was built with a specific purpose in mind: to perform a massive wheelie, the likes of which had never been seen before on the Dukes of Hazzard. Richard's vision was to have Bo and Luke Duke ride off into the sunset in the famed General Lee Dodge Charger, doing a wheelie all the way. And so he went to work, crafting this incredible machine with a blown big block engine that was relocated behind the driver for optimal weight distribution, allowing the front end to rise into a wheelie for a long distance. And let's not forget those massive tires that transferred all that power to the pavement.

But unfortunately, Warner Bros. ultimately turned down the idea due to the difficulty of hiding those big tires and huge engine. Shortly after, and due to a series of unfortunate events, the Stand-Up General disappeared from the public eye for the most of 40 years - until now. That's right, folks - the Volo Museum is now the proud new home and caretaker of this incredible vehicle, allowing the memories of the late Richard Sephton to live on through his world-famous creation.

So come on down to the Volo Museum and see the Stand-Up General for yourself. Get up close and personal with this legendary machine and feel the power that Richard Sephton poured into every inch of it. It's an honor to be in the presence of such a marvel of engineering - don't miss your chance to experience it for yourself!
