49,549 original miles! It comes with a binder full of documentation. Original rust free metal, claimed to be mostly original paint! Original driveline. Very desirable A-code performance 289 with a 4-speed and air conditioning!
Sold new in South Texas at Weber Motor Company. It lived in Texas until recently.

EXTERIOR: Excellent, all original rust free metal. It's straight and fits right. No rust or damage. One of the best bodies I've seen on an old Mustang. Original Vintage Burgundy color, actually it is claimed to have mostly original paint. It is polished smooth and glossy. Very nice original chrome and trim. Reproduction, correct GT style wheels.

INTERIOR: All original interior except driver seat was reupholstered. Overall, very nice condition throughout. A retro stereo was installed in the factory hole, kick panels were replaced with built in speakers. Down on the floor it has original front seat belts, embroidered floor mats and a correct 4-speed shifter. The interior lights work. That is a factory air conditioning unit under the dash.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has its original 289-225 performance V-8. Known as an A-code, it has a 4 barrel intake and carb, higher compression and a recurved distributor. This resulted in 25 more hp and 23 more lbs of torque. The original 289 motor was completely rebuilt. It has the original tag attached which is almost always gone. Stock manifolds, carb, valve covers and air cleaner. The radiator was upgraded from a 2 row to a 3 row. The factory air conditioning system looks complete. The brake master cylinder is upgraded to a dual reservoir. Very clean metal engine bay.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: GT wheel for a spare, has jack. Rock solid original metal. The paint under the trunk lid and jamb is glossy. Excellent weatherstrip, original rubber mat has some splits.

UNDERSIDE: Completely rust free original metal floors and frame rails. The steering and suspension components look good. Dual exhaust system has crossover over pipe. The fuel sending unit was replaced. It has disc brakes in front, upgraded slotted rotors. Looking up at the motor it is clean. It has correct canister type fuel pump, new starter. The original top loader 4-speed was serviced. Original rear end with a 3.00:1 ratio.

This is one of the most original, unmolested first generation Mustangs I've seen. Don't take the options lightly either: an A-code with a 4-speed and air conditioning is rare and desirable!
