True 1 owner car with only 43,904 actual miles! This was the pride and joy of Ellsworth Peterson. He was the owner of a family run ship building business and a very well-respected member of his community. If you knew him, you knew how much he loved this Lincoln. It has been very well cared for since day one. In 2008 it went through a refresh including a repaint, new top and mechanical service. As it sits right now it presents itself close to new and equally as important it functions like new. It just went through our own service process, and I have not heard the lead mechanic rave about any car as much as he did this one!

EXTERIOR: There is nothing else like it! There was not another 4 door convertible being made by anyone, this is the first since World War II. To make it even more unique it features rear suicide doors and a fully power retractable roof. It really is cool to watch the top operate. With the push of one lever the lid opens, a flap opens, the top unscrews from the windshield, the top folds into the trunk and the lid closes and screws shut! It is straight without damage or rust. The body was completely stripped and repainted in its beautiful teal color. All the original chrome, trim and weatherstrips were cleaned and reinstalled. the original top was faded, and a new black top was installed. We just installed a new top motor; it goes though all its steps without an issue. Even the power antenna works. The original wheels were sandblasted and painted; Diamondback custom radial tires installed.

INTERIOR: Complete original interior, it's held up amazingly! Original genuine leather upholstery looks great. There are fold down armrests built in front and bac. For its age, the door panels and dash pad are in great shape, not cracked or warped. The instrument area looks great. The chrome and trim still shine bright. The teal carpet is even original and has held up great. original as well as all the stainless trim. The power windows, power seat and interior lights all work. It has optional cruise control too. The original Am/Fm radio was taken out and restored to be functional.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Big 462 motor makes 340 hp and easily glides this car down the road. It is very neat and orderly. It has been carefully freshened up, repainted valve covers and air cleaner. It features power steering and brakes.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is very clean and proper inside. The trunk is a power lift, underside of it is paint very nicely, the cables, wires and motors are all clean and tidy. Inside is the original liner from 1966. It has the jack and spare tire with a matching cover. The weatherstrip seals tight.

UNDERSIDE: Rock solid original underside has been maintained as needed. We just installed a factory corect dual exhaust system with 4 mufflers, so it sounds as smooth as it rides! Work has been done to the brakes, fuel system and air shocks were installed in back. It has disc brakes in front. Looking up at the engine and transmission they appear to be clean original. It has it's 3 speed Cruis-o-matic that shifts flawlessly. The rear end has nice cruising gears, 2.80:1.

SERVICE: Through our shop inspection, we fixed and serviced the following items. Repaired headlight wiring for headlights to beam properly. New air shocks in the rear were installed, Replaced the convertible motor and bled the system, replaced the exhaust system from the headers back, and had a 4 wheel alignment performed.

They are only original once, and this one has an amazing story to go with it. You can tell it was his pride and joy by the way it rides and drives today. Hop in, put the top down, and go for a cruise anywhere! You'll feel like you're floating on clouds the way it glides.
