VOLO – The Volo Auto Museum is making a special offer for good students this school year.

Students age 18 and younger who earn straight Bs or better this school year are invited to show off their report cards at the museum admissions ticket booth.

“We are implementing a good students reward program,” said Brian Grams, director of the museum at 27582 Volo Village Road in Volo. “Students 18 years old or younger who bring us a report card showing all Bs or better will get in free.”

Grams, who has daughters in second and fifth grades this year, said he looks forward to greeting students who put in the effort to take the museum up on its offer.

“There is a lot of history to be learned here,” he said. “The other day I overheard a dad explaining to his son where the term ‘roll your windows up’ came from. I know we have the highly educational military museum, which walks you through the wars, but we take for granted the little things …”

Open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, the Volo Auto Museum features hundreds of classic, muscle and Hollywood cars, as well as an extensive collection of military vehicles, equipment and memorabilia.

Recent additions include vintage marine, cycle and tractor displays. Regular admission is $14.95 for adults, $12.95 for seniors and $8.95 for children ages 5 to 12.

Children 4 and younger are admitted free, as are active military personnel in uniform.
