995/1001 points! It is immaculate. Has build sheet, factory correct.

4 miles on concourse restoration. 995 out of 1,001 points at Chevelle Nationals. It is one of the best restorations I've seen. It was off the frame, every component was taken apart and restored like new. Many NOS parts were used. Documented with a build sheet, correct #s and codes. Restored exactly as it was born. Very desirable 4-speed, cowl induction, bucket seat car with gauges! Same owner since 1984, 38 years!

EXTERIOR: Pristine body. Every inch is laser straight, zero rust or damage. The gaps are precise. It has functional cowl induction. Repainted it's factory color, no vinyl top. It was even repainted in lacquer just like it was in 1971. The metal flake is laid out evenly and the finish is like glass. Stripes are correctly painted on. Every single piece of exterior trim and chrome is NOS or restored, no reproduction. The jambs are detailed. Weatherstrips and window seals were replaced. The glass is crystal clear. The windows roll up smooth and fit real nice. The wheels are correctly restored and have reproduction Goodyear GT tires, the nubs are still on the tread.

INTERIOR: Very rare and sharp looking Palomino interior. It was completely disassembled and meticulously restored. Everything looks new but also fits properly. The entire dash was apart and restored. Look behind the dash, it even looks new. The wiring was replaced, heater controls restored, optional gauges were restored. The seats were rebuilt, recushioned and upholstered. New headliner fits tight as a drum. Door panels and related components were replaced. All the vents, knobs, kick panels, rear window trim looks new. The console is immaculate. Correct Muncie shifter with black knob. The factory seatbelts are restored like new. Everything works.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This is an immaculate, show quality motor compartment. Restored to factory specs. The correct 454 was completely rebuilt. Every component has been rebuilt and detailed to new condition. All the finishes are smooth and tidy. Power brake booster is cadmium plated. It has correct hoses and clamps. The cowl induction system is complete and functional. The squirters are hooked up, smog system is complete, wiring is new.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Pristine metal. The spatter gray paint was duplicated like the factory did it. Not from a spray can but from a spray gun! It has a matching 5th wheel and reproduction Good Year GT tire for a spare. The jack is detailed. The mat, weatherstrip, wiring, decal is pristine. The gold paint under the trunk lid and jamb are like glass.

UNDERSIDE: The body was removed from the frame. The floors, frame rails, rockers are pristine metal painted semi gloss black. No patches, the welds and seems all look factory. The chassis was disassembled, prepped and painted semi gloss black. It has the F-41 suspension which includes swaybars and boxed rear control arms. The steering and suspension is 100% rebuilt. The brake system is 100% rebuilt. It has disc in front, new lines, e-brake assembly etc. Factory correct exhaust system complete with resonators and cow bell tips. All new fuel system including the tank, straps, sending unit and fuel lines. Looking up at the motor it is spotless. It has it's correct M-22 "rock crusher" 4-speed, totally rebuilt. New clutch, shift linkage etc. Rebuilt drive shaft with Factory markings. Correct 12 bolt 3.31 posi rear, rebuilt. It is immaculate under here.

I'm going to tell you a secret. I just found out this car was restored 18 years ago!! It looks like it was finished this morning. The gentleman I bought from is as fussy as they get. He restored it, trailers it to shows and kept it stored in his heated/air conditioned garage. There aren't even windows in the garage, he doesn't like the damage sunlight can cause.

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
