Real SS, exceptional restoration. Air, bps, pdb

"Exceptional" is the word to keep in mind while considering this true SS! Fit, finishes and functions will impress you! Only 2,900 miles on a ground up restoration. Everything about this build goes above and beyond. It also has what you want from the 502, 4-speed and posi to the a/c, power steering and power disc brakes. The icing on the cake: it's a real Super Sport verified in the VIN and it's a factory 4-speed car verified on the cowl tag.

EXTERIOR: The exterior on this car absolutely excites me! The quality of the paint and body work is over the top. The totally beautiful blue turquoise paint has been applied with great detail then wet sanded and polished to a highly reflective finish. The alignment of all the body panels is tremendous. The doors hood and trunk all open and close easily like a new car. The gaps are consistent throughout and absolutely spot on. It has the SS hood with dual power bulges and chrome inserts. The front and rear bumpers have optional bumper guards and have been rechromed. Virtually all the trim pieces and emblems have been rechromed or replaced. The blacked-out SS 396 tail panel looks fantastic along with original date coded taillights. Weatherstrips were replaced. The glass looks like it has been replaced and tinted. It has reproduction radial red line tires mounted to 15 inch rally rims. Turn heads everywhere you drive this stunner!

INTERIOR: Sitting in the interior I am extremely comfortable! The front bucket seats have been reupholstered and have great cushion, the same goes for the matching back seat. It has seat belts all the way around. The center console with factory clock appears to be original and in fantastic condition. The Hurst shifter appears to be restored or a reproduction. The carpeting and kick panels are new and looks fantastic. The door panels have been replaced and the hardware all has a great shine to it. The headliner and visors have been replaced; the dome light is working. The rearview mirror looks original as well. The dash pad has been replaced and the dashboard itself has been repainted. All the instrumentation and knobs appear to be original and in fantastic condition The radio has been upgraded to a modern digital unit but has a vintage look. It has tilt steering column with a deluxe wood grain wheel. and they look fantastic. A Sun Super Tach has been added to the steering column and a SunPro triple gauge cluster has been added under the dash. You can absolutely cruise in comfort with this virtually new interior!

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This engine bay has it all! How about a 502 crate motor, air conditioning, power steering and brakes! At the heart of it is a GM Performance ZZ502 making 508 hp and 580 lbs of torque. This includes a forged rotating assembly, 4 bolt mains and is topped with GM performance aluminum heads and intake. It also has a dual feed Holley carb, HEI ignition and coated Hooker headers. It's dressed in a chrome Chevrolet script air cleaner and cast aluminum valve covers. All the components look fresh and proper. The heat and a/c system has been completely modernized. Correct power steering with remote reservoir. The power brake system, alternator, and wiper motor all look new. It runs cool with upgraded aluminum water pump and radiator. All the hoses and wires are run neatly. It even has a GM windshield washer solvent glass bottle and the squirters are hooked up. All the metal surfaces are painted neat and smooth. It doesn't get much better than this!

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Nice, clean, and complete trunk compartment here! The bottom side of the lid and the jamb are painted and polished to a smooth reflective finish. Reproduction stickers, weatherstrip and mat were replaced. Inside is clean metal painted with a factory spatter finish paint. A rally wheel spare tire and correct jack assembly is included.

UNDERSIDE: This car has received a thorough restoration and has a nicely detailed underbody! The steering and front suspension looks like it has been completely rebuilt, even the steering gearbox looks fresh. The rear suspension is looking sweet also with replaced springs, bushings, and shocks. A rear sway bar has been added as well. The front has power disc brakes with fresh looking calipers and lines, the rear brakes are drums. The emergency brake is hooked up. It has coated headers and a full 2.5" dual exhaust system with cross pipe and Edelbrock mufflers. The tailpipes exit just behind the rear tires. Looking up at the 502 crate motor it is fresh, the GM part # tag is still attached and it has a high torque starter. Same goes for the Muncie 4-speed manual trans, it looks totally clean with no visible leaks. It is a correct trans, dated 1967. It has a new speedometer cable and Hurst Competition Plus shifter. It has a 12 bolt rear end with 3.55 posi gears. The floors all appear solid, rust free metal. The floors and chassis are neatly painted semi gloss black. This is a top notch undercarriage by all standards!

This is a true SS 396 car that has been thoroughly restored and upgraded with numerous performance parts including a GM 502 crate engine that has less than a thousand miles on it! The quality of this body and paint work is top notch! This car has everything going for it! It's purely exquisite!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year membership.
