1 woman owner till 2017! Frame off, #s match.

1 woman owner from new until 2017! Body off frame restored. Real SS, #s matching original driveline. Original rust free metal. Dorothy bought this car new from Dumas Milner Chevrolet in Miami FL on Jan 6th, 1965. We have the original title that she signed over in 2017 and the original finance contract.

EXTERIOR: The body is mint. I checked and believe the quarter panels are original. The body is arrow straight with no rust or damage. Repainted it's original Ermine white with no vinyl top. It is smooth and glossy. Bumpers are rechromed. It has a bow tie mirror and rear mount antenna. I like the painted rims with poverty caps. They are wearing radial BFG redline tires.

INTERIOR: I love the blue against the white paint. The seats are recushioned and upholstered. New carpet, door panels, dash pad and headliner. Original console, steering wheel, glove box liner and heater controls. New vents, dash bezels and visors.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: #s match original 396-325 hp. It is a bit rare, there is an H stamped on the motor indicating it came with a Holley intake and carb from the factory. It is detailed nicely, correct manifolds, air cleaner, valve covers etc. Reproduction GM hoses and clamps. Delco battery topper and spring clamp cables. It features power steering and brakes. The metal surfaces are painted smoothly.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It looks like new! Pristine original metal has a neat coat of spatter paint. Under the trunk lid and jamb are glossy. Painted rim on the spare and a jack assembly. New mat and weatherstrip.

UNDERSIDE: It has been body off the frame restored. The underside of this car has pristine original floors, braces, and rockers. All they had to do was clean it, give it a fresh coat of black paint and it looks like new. The frame and chassis components aren't even pitted; they're smooth and painted semi glass black. The front end steering and suspension has been completely rebuilt. In back the suspension was rebuilt. They did give it a disc brake upgrade in front, the e-brake assembly is hooked up. The brake lines were replaced. It has a very nicely installed dual exhaust with turned down tips. The fuel system was replaced including the tank, sending unit and lines. Looking up at the motor it's clean. It has the correct canister type oil filter, correct starter and a new fuel pump. Original Powerglide automatic transmission mission and original 12 bolt rear with 3.07 gears.

What makes this Chevelle special is it's story. To find a Super Sport that was owned by 1 woman for 52 years is a rarity. It is not a made over, molested car. It appears to have it's original metal, motor, trans and rear that it was born with. It a good looker too!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.
