Real RS-SS, CE warranty replacement L-78 motor. 1 owner for the last 52 years, 50,845 actual miles! We acquired the car from his estate, 5 miles from us. Starting in 1975 it was treated as a collector/show car.

EXTERIOR: OMG, this paint is gorgeous! The body looks fantastic too. It is straight, lines up just right and there's no rust or damage. The doors click shut like a new car. It has front and rear spoilers along with the Rally Sport option. This includes hideaway headlights, they open manually. Repainted in 2010, it was originally Garnet Red, now it is this amazing Magnetic Red. The metal flake is laid out evenly and the clear coat is polished like glass. The hockey stick stripes are smooth to the touch. The tail panel is painted black indicating an SS 396. All the chrome and trim sparkles. It also has the exterior trim package including rain gutters, wheel well moldings and the louvers on the 1/4 panels. The weatherstrips and seals are in excellent shape. The vinyl top was replaced. The SS wheels have been restored and have BFG tires.

INTERIOR: It is really in great shape, unabused. The plastic trim, moldings, dash area, heater control panel look mint. The seats were reupholstered. Carpet, door panels and headliner look like new. It still has full set of original seatbelts. A retro stereo fits in the factory hole. Vintage gauges are mounted below the dash and a tachometer on the steering column.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The legendary L-78 396 makes 375hp. This one is a CE warranty block, it still uses it's correct big port heads and matched factory aluminum intake. On top The Holley carb has been upgraded with a 770 Street Avenger and it also has a set of headers. The engine was rebuilt in 2018, only 2,000 miles since. It's dressed in correct chrome air cleaner and valve covers. Everything looks clean and proper. It has power brakes and new power steering. It is complete with the correct fan shroud; washers are hooked up and it has hood insulation.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and jamb are painted slick like the car. Inside is rock solid metal with a tidy spatter finish that has been clear coated for durability. It has a 5th matching SS wheel and BFG tire for a spare. Complete with jack assembly too.

UNDERSIDE: The front end suspension looks like it was rebuilt: shocks, springs, bushings look fresh. The steering system was completely upgraded with rack & pinion. In back the leaf springs, bushings and shocks were replaced. Upgraded with some traction bars. Upgraded stainless steel exhaust with Cherry Bomb mufflers. the brakes are functioning great, it has disc in front and the e-brake is hooked up. Looking up at the motor it is fresh. The original Turbo 400 automatic also looks fresh. It still has it's 1969 tag riveted to it. A 12 bolt rear end sits out back. The floors appear to solid, original metal.

SERVICE: We inspected this car and replaced the door lock cylinders. The headlight doors are opened manually.

This car is exceptional! Really, I just inspected it and I'm really liking it. The overall unabused, 50,000 original miles really is evident. Not to mention the features and let's not forget about the color! Wait til you see it in person.
